It’s a little bit horrifying just how quickly everything can fall to crap. Sometimes it takes a huge loss to remind you of what you care about the most, sometimes you find yourself becoming stronger as the result, wiser, better, quick to deal with the next big disaster that comes along. Sometimes, but not always.

Nathan.

  • Lexie: Why can't Kate choose Nathan?
  • Justine: She's going to.
  • Lexie: I just feel you have a moral obligation to... wait really?
  • Justine: Yeah. For now. I had a dream while I was under, and I figured out how to stretch the series 2-3 more books. So for now she'll get to see how it feels like to be with Nathan.
  • Lexie: So, what? They're gonna be together for a few books and then she's going to choose Alexander?
  • Justine: Yeah, probably.
  • Lexie: What is wrong with you? Why do you hate Nathan so much?
  • Justine: I don't hate Nathan. I love him. Probably as much as you apparently do. He's kind and funny and incredibly honest. It's Kate, she doesn't love him.
  • Lexie: She should. It's not fair.
  • Justine: I know. But it makes for a really, really good read.

Change. We don’t like it. We fear it, but we can’t stop it from coming. We either adapt to change or we get left behind. It hurts to grow, anybody who tells you it doesn’t is lying, but here’s the truth sometimes the more things change the more they stay the same. And sometimes, oh, sometimes change is good. Sometimes change is everything.

Be a man. Grey's Anatomy - 8x04

  • Alex: Be a man. people say it all the time.
  • Hunt: But what does that even mean?
  • Dr. Webber: Is it about strength?
  • Hunt: Is it about sacrifice?
  • Avery: Is it about winning?
  • Sloan: Maybe it's simpler than that...
  • Derek: You have to know when not to man up. Sometimes it takes a real man to set his ego aside and meet defeat and simply start all over again.

What is it about men? - Grey’s Anatomy 8x04

  • Derek: There’s a distinct difference between male and female brains.
  • Dr. Webber: Female brains have a larger hippocampus, which usually makes them better at attention and memory.
  • Alex: Male brains have a bigger parietal cortex, which helps when defending from an attack.
  • Avery: Male brains confront challenges differently than female brains.
  • Sloan: Women are hard wire to communicate with language, detail, empathy. Men? No so much.
  • Hunt: It doesn’t mean we’re less capable of emotion.
  • Derek: We can talk about our feelings, it’s just that most of the time we really rather not.
